I’ve had a few business logos through the years including:
The last one served me well but I decided to redesign my logo for the new year and in the spirit of the Yahoo logo redesign give myself a few hours to brainstorm a new logo:
I wanted the new logo to be clean, simple and striking to stand out on twitter feeds, websites, business cards, letterheads, banners etc.
After considering a few abstract designs I settled for a sans-serif “a” in an amber circle. You can’t get much simpler than this!
It respects the current trend for flat design and is flexible enough to adapt in future to show different colours, include gradients or be animated much like the idea behind the 2012 London Olympics logo .
Why amber and black? It’s the colours of the football team I support – Hull City AFC.
